My cute, cute neices and nephews...

I'm the luckiest girl in the world! Not only did I manage to get a cute husband, but he came with the cutest nieces and nephews. They are one of the things that I am actually proud that I inherited (the cars...not so much!) Anyway, we've made it a little tradition to take them to the movies for their Christmas present...we all have fun and it gives us a chance to spend some time with them. These are Tennessa & Ryan's kids (Ronnie's oldest sister)...we haven't had a chance to take any of the other kids out yet, but hopefully after Christmas when everything settles down!

It's the MOST WONDERFUL time of the YEAR!

So, I love Christmas! I've been thinking a lot lately about all of the Christmases that I had growing up, and how the simplest things would make me so happy. I sometimes miss the "good 'ole days" where we got nice, long Christmas vacations from school and had a couple of weeks to just spend with each other. Now it seems like Christmas sneeks up on us so fast and I'm lucky to get a few days off! For work we had to write down some of our Christmas memories and I said that something I will always remember (no matter how much my parents hated it) was when my brothers and I would wake up at 3:00 in the morning and we would each take a turn to go and see all of the presents around the tree and take a quick "peek" inside our stockings. We weren't really allowed to "wake up" until 7:00, so we would play card games until it was time. I also remembered one year that I was looking through my stocking and noticed that I had butter rum Life Savers (not my favorite), so I switched them with Nathan's fruity Life Savers (he hated butter rum more than me) and then when he saw that Santa gave him Butter Rum, he would give them to me...so I ended up with 2! I'm surprised that I didn't get more coal for Christmas with how naughty I was...ask my mom, she'll tell you stories! Anyway, no matter how hectic Christmas has become, there is no mistaking the magic of that day...when the whole world stops to celebrate! I took a few pictures of my Chrismas decorations...I've done the snowman theme on my tree the last couple of years, and I love it! I wish the apartment was a little bigger though, we had to totally rearrange to get our big tree to fit!(mostly because of the LoveSac and our huge couch), but we finally made it work! Take a look!

Logan Graduated!

Wow! I can't believe it! My big brother finally graduated! I wasn't able to make it to the ceremony because they were only allowed a few tickets, but afterward everyone drove down to Idaho Falls and we ate dinner at Garcia's (a family favorite)

This is a picture of my younger brother with this fiance...they will be married on March 21st!

I love my family so much...it's nice to have everyone so close.

These are a few of my favorite things...

To get to know me, I thought it would be fun to share a few of my most favorite things in the world, these are in no particular order, but I knew I'd get in trouble if I didn't put Ronnie first, so...
Surprise! Ronnie is so amazing! He is probably the most patient person I know (being married to me he has to be) and he would do ANYTHING for me...this is a picture of him chopping onions, I swear, I can't chop an onion without crying, so it looks like he found a solution!
Diet Coke I know, I know...it's gonna kill me, but at least I'll die happy!
Wingers 552-5312...no that's not my phone number, but it is the number for Wingers take-out...I don't have to remember it...I have it on speed dial!
Gwen

This is Gwen at her first birthday...I love her so much, she's my only niece (so far-another one coming in February), but she's been so much fun!
LoveSac

Ronnie and I splurged on our 1st anniversary and bought a LoveSac...we didn't go small either! This is the biggest one that they have "The Big One" and it is 8 feet and over 100 pounds. As you can see, it takes up most of our living room, but who needs a couch anyway?
Phoenix Suns

I hope that I didn't just lose any friends, but I am from Arizona and have been a Suns fan for as long as I can remember...sorry guys, it's in my blood!
Disneyland

It really is the most magical place on earth (and the most expensive), but it was so worth it!
My Slippers!

So this is a few of my favorite things rolled into one...first of all, I LOVE these slippers, they keep my feet sooo warm and they are some of the cutest slippers I have ever seen. Second, they are obviously cowboy boots, so country music is another one of my favorite things. Third is shopping...Ronnie needed me to pick him up from Vickers, so while I was waiting I decided to check out the store, not like I thought I was gonna buy anything because it's not exactly my thing, but this just proves that I can go into any store and find something that I HAVE to have...it's kind of a gift (or curse if you ask Ronnie)that I have! :)

Fall Decorations

Ok, so everyone is posting their way cute fall decorations, so I figured I better show mine before my favorite season is gone. These are of coarse the famous Give Thanks blocks that Janell's friend made and I just think that they are the cutest things ever!...I've already gotten so many compliments on them...thank you for sharing your talents! Here are a couple of other fun things that I put up this year...although in an apartment, I can't do as much as I'd like!

Ingrid...

Hey Ingrid! Thanks for finding me! I'm still new at this, so I need to figure out how I can add you to my list...(if that's OK);) I see that you're blog is blocked for anyone to view, so maybe you can tell me how I can look at it. Also, I would totally make a cake for you! I give my friends REALLY good deals, so let me know!

A couple more cakes

Here are my cakes from the last week...it's been a busy one! The Tinkerbell was for a little 5 year old (I work with her mom.) The princess cake was for little Avery Roberts, Steve & Stacy's little girl...she turned 2. And the sock monkey cake is for another lady I work with, it was her nieces's birthday, and apparently she loves sock monkies...who knew?

More Halloween

So, I've dressed up more this Halloween than I ever have before! We were invited to another party where Ronnie and I decided to go as the Scream guy and a hippie...too bad that we really didn't get very many good pictures of it...dang! THEN we had our annual Melaleuca halloween celebration...you wouldn't believe how big it is until you actually see it...the whole company goes COMPLETELY all out! This year we were High School Muscial (you may have seen pics on Whitney's blog), but we were so awesome! Here are a couple of pictures...
...this is Ronnie slaving away at 3:00 in the morning to help me finish the HSM sign, we only got 2 hours of sleep that night...thanks babe!
Here are a couple more picture of our group...it's crazy how much I still look like a freaking 15 year old...I guess I'll be thankful for that someday! Our department actually ended up winning best overall(we'll get a pizza party, but more importantly-BRAGGING RIGHTS)for our decorations, costumes and performance...that's right...we totally did a dance all day long! In fact, Human Resources liked it so much that they asked us to perform it in front of the whole company at our annual employee meeting on the 12th...scary! Shhh, its supposed to be TOP secret...so Whitney, tell Chris not to tell! I love my dept so much, they have so much energy, I couldn't ask to work for a better company or with a better group of people

Cakes, Cakes, Cakes

A couple of years ago I took a cake decorating class...I don't like to bake and I really don't like cake, so I'm not sure what possessed me to do this, but I have had fun! Here are a couple of my favorites!

New Things!

Ronnie and I are complete opposites when it comes to fun...when you look fun up in my dictionary, this is how it is defined. Fun adj. shopping, scrapbooking, crafts, country music, traveling, parties, money, a new pair of jeans that makes your butt look super cute, pedicures, hair, nails, make-up, not cooking, not cleaning...(the list goes on and on). Ronnie's definition is much different. Fun adj. hunting, golfing, shooting, playing guitar (ok, that one is kind of fun), camping, farting, anything but country music, working on cars, not shopping (ever ever ever), anything outdoors, roller blading and anything else tha
t is dirty, greasy and gross. Since we started dating, we've had to compromise a little...here are a few things that he's talked me into! He took me to Yellowstone last year to become "one with nature"...it seemed to go pretty good!

For the last several years, Ronnie has tried to teach me to golf...I'm not very good, but dang I sure look good trying :)

Here I am shooting a gun for the first time...watch out everyone!

There is one thing that we both seem to agree is fun...see if you can guess what it is!

No matter how opposite we are we know that our differences are what attracts us to each other!

Lindsay-From the Beginning

Now about me, Lindsay Jean Owen! I was born in Aurora, Colorado, the only one of my siblings to be born outside of Arizona...my dad used to tell me that the air must be thinner in Colorado...(whatever that means!) I am the second oldest in my family...I have an older brother, two younger brothers, and two younger sisters...a house full! My mom tells me that my older brother, Logan was the perfect child until I came along...apparently I got into everything and taught him to do the same. I pretty much grew up in Arizona (a lot of different towns), but when I was getting ready to go into high school, my dad felt in necessary to move us to Salmon, Idaho (I know what you're thinking-why Salmon? I have no idea...ask my dad!) My dad was the principal of my High School, which may sound kind of rough, but there are definitely more positives than negatives to being a principal's daughter...everyone knew who my dad was, and to this day I think that I've gotten out of at least 4 speeding tickets! Thanks Dad! After HS I moved with my family (yes another move) to Idaho Falls and that is where I met Ronnie at church, for him it was love at first sight, but for me, I had to take a second glance before I was convinced, at the time I kind of had my eye on someone else, so I am definitely grateful for Ronnie's persistance! Ronnie and I dated for 4 years and had soooo much fun together during that time! He makes me laugh like no one else can...I love him for that.
