Blessing #14-Talents

I'm not saying at all that I am a talented person...I definitely like to try new and exciting things to challenge myself (to Ronnie's horror) I am always on to the next project as soon as I finish one. As most of you know, a couple of years ago I took a cake decorating class...this is never something that I intended to do for anyone other than my family, but word got out and now I am the go-to-girl. I am not only thankful for all of the talents that I have, but especially for the talents of everyone around me...I know so many talented people and enjoy watching and learning from them everyday!

I have posted a couple of pictures of some cakes that I have done, the one on top (with the martini glass) is my most recent...I made this a couple of weeks ago for my nail lady's little sister - it was her 21st birthday!

Fish cake - I made this for a good friend of mine who used to be a river guide, I was friends with his daughters when I first moved to Idaho Falls and he was like a second dad to me...I am lucky enough now to work in the same department with him at Melaleuca.

Sock Monkey Cake - This is a cake that I made for the niece of someone I work with...I didn't really know what a sock monkey was before I got this request!

52 Blessings Project #13

Blessing # 13
~My Cell Phone~

It's hard to even remember what it was like not having a cell phone with me at all times...how the heck did I ever communicate? It makes me feel more safe that I can have some way to communicate if I am ever in trouble (mostly when I lock my keys in my car)...but seriously, I remember when I was probably 8 or 9 years old and we lived in Mesa and my mom locked her keys in the car and we had to go knocking on random doors to see if we could borrow a phone...hello, scary! We are so blessed by modern technologies...we've come so far, even in the last 10 years and I am so thankful for it!

Pay It Forward Exchange

This is a really fun idea that I got from Ashley's blog...I'm kind of a slacker because I was supposed to post this like a month ago, but I'm really excited about it and hope that you will want to participate. If anyone hasn't seen this movie, I would definitely suggest it...it's been a while for me, but I really appreciated the message.

This is how it works: Pay It Forward Exchange is based on the concept of the movie "Pay It Forward". I will send a hand made gift to the first three people who leave a comment to this post on my blog requesting to join the PIF exchange. All the gifts will be made and posted out sometime within the next year. How exciting to not know when your surprise package will arrive! What you need to do in return is pay it forward by making the same promise on your blog. ALL YOU HAVE TO DO IS PROMISE TO POST THIS SAME 'PAY IT FORWARD' MESSAGE ONTO YOUR BLOG, WHICH MUST BE ACTIVE IN ORDER TO PLAY. YOU WILL PAY IT FORWARD TO THREE PEOPLE WHO COMMENT ON YOUR BLOG. Remember: It’s the spirit and the thought that count! When you receive your gift, please feel free to blog about it, sharing appropriate Linky Love! If you are not one of the Top Three Commenters on this post, you can still play along. Go ahead and start your own Pay It Forward chain, and encourage your blogging friends to do the same. I'd love for you to join me! Will you? Who doesn't love a gift or giving gifts???

PS: I think that this will be fun for anyone, no matter where you live (I might have to get some addresses), so don't be shy! Plus, if I get a few more than 3 comments, I might still do them anyway :)
