Mi casa es tu casa...

Behold, my beautiful home...looks welcoming, doesn't it? Well, I was VERY disturbed when my husband texted me today - letting me know that we had an unexpected visitor.
Apparently she ignored this warning...

...and took this "welcome" sign a little to literal...

And here it is...the first sign of spring around the Thinnes house...

a perfect little robin's nest - nestled at the top of our wreath. My reaction: Whew Sick! Get it the H!@# out of there immediately! As much as I hate to admit it, that little nest kinda creeps me out!

Whose spoiled now?

Ronnie likes to remind me on a regular basis of how spoiled I am. If I see something I HAVE to have, there's usually no way of telling me No or talking me out of it. For a couple of years I actually had him convinced that when I bought something it was for "us"...not for "me"...yeah, not falling for it anymore! I was in Sam's Club a couple months back and found something that I really, really wanted...here's how the telephone conversation with Ronnie went...
Ronnie: Hello?
Me: Hey Hottie - I love you!
Ronnie: Oh crap, wha'd you do?
Me: Nothing...
Ronnie: What did you buy?
Me: Nothing...yet.
Ronnie: What do you want?
Me: Well, I'm at Sam's Club and they have this really good deal on KitchenAid mixers - do you remember the other day how I was saying that it would be sooooo nice to have a KitchenAid mixer?
Ronnie: No
Me: Well, I did and WE really, really need one.
Ronnie: How much?
Me: Not too much...like a couple hundred ($285)
Ronnie: (sigh) I guess, but you owe me
Me: Yippee! Should I get a red or black one?
Ronnie: Get a black one...for sure a black one...
Me: Ok

I totally got a red one!

Several months ago I came home to an ugly scene - Ronnie sitting in front of the computer with a piece of paper and pen. On the paper, three colums...Linz...Me...Us - Oh crap, he was really adding up all of the money that I had spent the previous month, all that he had spent, and all that we had spent together - BUSTED! It didn't go over too bad, and I did learn a few valuable lessons 1) Ronnie has now been able to breach all of my security passwords on our bank account...he even figured out my grandma's maiden name and where my grandpa was born (I just made that answer up-I really have no idea where he was born) apparently I thought it was iron clad 2) I really DO spend a lot of money and I really AM spoiled. 3) It's OK to get what I want, but maybe sometimes I should let Ronnie have a turn to get something that he really wants. 4) Never tell Ronnie that he can have whatever he wants...he'll end up coming home with this...

It's not a joke, my husband is the VERY proud new owner of a 1976 Stingray Corvette...I think HE owes ME now! Ronnie has always been a "car guy" - to anyone who's been to our house, that's not really a secret. He has 4 cars parked in the RV parking area, 2 cars parked in the garage (one of them being the Corvette), and our 2 everyday drivers got that shaft and are now parked in the driveway...sigh!

What's been keeping me busy....?

Cakes!!! As most of you know, I took cake decorating classes a couple of years ago before I was married because I thought it would be a fun thing to know for when I had a family of my own. Well, the word got out and the past couple of weeks I've been cake cRaZy! Here are the ones that I've finished...

Baby Shower for a baby girl...I thought this turned out cute...just a fun pink cake for a new baby girl!

Cookie Monster...this one was so fun! I made this for a co-worker for her husband who loves cookie monster! It was fun to use frosting again where I do the majority of my cakes in fondant.

This is a John Deere tractor cake that I made for another co-worker of mine...I thought I better add a few animals to this fun little farm! I made all of the animals out of fondant and it was actually really fun to do!

Here is the cute cow...

and the messy little pigs!

a sheep and a chicken with her little chicks...

a duck in a little pond, and of course the TRACTOR!

Here is a fun baby shower cake for a little baby boy...

Even though you can't eat it, here is a diaper cake that I made for my sister-in-law's baby shower...I've never made one before, but it was so fun figuring it out!

Brendan's Home!

Even more exciting than Christmas this year was welcoming my baby bro back from Brazil! We got to talk to him on Christmas as usual, but it was different knowing that we would be able to see him in person in less than a month...well here's how it went!
Everyone waiting...and waiting...and waiting!

Phoebe showing off...Look what I can do!

Gwen's pouty face...

Mama waiting...patiently????

The poster - anyone who knows my dad knows that with every BIG event, a poster MUST be made!

He's here!

Mom not wanting to share (typical) :)

The fam...but it looks like Nate and Rebecca are missing...hmmmm...where did they go?

Freezing weather (not quite what he's used to)

First request - Reed's Dairy- Of coarse!

Welcome Home Brother!

Christmas 2009

A little late as normal, but I got some super cute pictures of Christmas this year that I HAD to post!

Christmas was A*W*E*S*O*M*E! My husband spoiled me with my gift...custom gift tag and everying...

..I was so excited, it will take me a while to learn about all of the cool features, but photography has been something that has interested me for a while and I am anxious to start learning! I got Ronnie this affects pedal thing for his guitar, for anyone that knows anything about guitars (me not included) it has like 4 pedals on it and it allows him to distort sounds and record etc...that's about the extent of my knowledge. He can do some crazy stuff on it though! It was so nice to spend some quality time with the family, everyone was able to come this year (except for Brendan who was on his mission...at the time). The little girls were as entertaining as ever! Phoebe still loves her mama the most...actually I think she loves her mama ONLY - we still have a hard time getting her to come to us, but it's sure a treat when she does! Here she is giving her kissy face - I know my mom put this on her blog already, but it is now one of my favorite picture and I had to post it too

Gwen was as also entertaining as ever! I'm afraid that I might not be the best influence on her...she kept stealing my Diet Coke, so I decided to give her her very own cup-I'm sure that didn't help to keep her calm...

CrAzY gIrL!

All in all it was an awesome Christmas - I love any chance I get to sneak away from work for a couple of days and relax with everyone that I love!

Our new arrivals...and a new FIRST!

I hope nobody got too excited...we don't have any kind of a BIG announcement to make, but looky what arrived at our house last week...

So may high tech buttons...

We got the best deal on these! They were normally $750 each, but were on sale for $900 for the set. We didn't really need a washer and dryer, so we were doing the usual debating back and forth, but then we noticed that there was a $100 rebate to our local power company, we thought...what the heck? So they ended up around $400 each - I thought it was a steal! They are so quiet and a lot more gentle on our clothes...not to mention "energy efficient".

Also this last week Ronnie and I had our first taste of...

DEER! Ronnie (the crazy boy) actually stood out in the snow and barbequed these deer tenderloins for us (I think they are technically called venison tenderloins, but it's not as easy to say), and I must admit that they were really not that bad! I was expecting much worst, but I think that I will actually be able to stomach it...yeah for me! I just have to try and not think about that poor little guy hanging in my garage...:(

November in a nutshell

The last couple of years Ronnie has really been into hunting and gets excited every year when the season comes around...he never has a lot of time to squeeze it in, and up until this year has never actually shot anything, so I would tease him and say that he wasn't a "hunter" he was more of an "armed hiker" Well, I can't say that anymore! He finally got his first deer! He shot it right through the lungs with his bow and arrow (that's got to be hard, I can't even pull the dang thing back!)
Here a picture of him with...wait...were'd he go???????????

and here's the poor little guy...it was dark when he shot it, so he had to go back the next morning for it. He originally thought it was a doe, but when they found it the next day, it was a little buck! He's a little thing, but when you're nearing the last days of hunting season and you still haven't shot anything, you start to be a little less picky...he'll be just fine for our little family.

~New Moon~
Ok, I'll be the first to admit that I have never read the Twilight books - I know! I'll get around to it someday, but I'm not going to be a party pooper when all of the girls decide to go and see it...I mean, who wouldn't want to stand in line outside for an hour in the FREAKIN' freezing Idaho weather?

I actually really enjoyed it, I just love these girlies...they are so fun to hang with!

Thanks Ashley, Stacy, Ingrid, & Angie for an awesome time!

Let's see, what am I missing...oh yes...some yummy grubbin'!

Most people would think that I'm not a big Thanksgiving person - I don't really like Turkey or Pumpkin Pie...I know, a little crazy! But I really do love Thanksgiving, I love the family time, playing games, catching up, reflecting on all of the things that are really important. Each Thanksgiving I'm reminded a little more of how much my Heavenly Father has blessed me in this life, I am so thankful for every little thing that I've been given and hope that I will never take anything for granted. Here is my awesome family...I am thankful for every single one of them - Love you guys!

Little Gwenie just melts my heart! Ronnie and I always say "I love you more" to each other, so a little while ago I told Gwen that I love her "more" and now every time I say it she tell me "I love you...more" she thinks it's really funny. What a dolly!

Here's a picture of little Phoebe, she's growing up so fast, and actually kinda likes me a little now!

After we ate lunch at my parent's in Soda Springs, we drove back to Idaho Falls to spend some time with Ronnie's family...it looks like someone had a long day...sweet Amarrah was just pooped!

I hope everyone had an AWESOME November!
